Some time back, when his blog was still up (even though he had stopped posting for a while), I emailed him (at the email shown on the blog), but no response from him. After a while, his blog was deleted. I hope he's doing OK.VietPundithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15832520552641011136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10075364.post-33507649221664912512007-04-02T20:25:00.000-06:002007-04-02T20:25:00.000-06:00yes, Google's dark fiber purchases are intriguing....yes, Google's dark fiber purchases are intriguing...especially because it's "dark fiber," like the "dark side."

At least, that's how I always hear it in my head.

In reality, Google's continuing purchases of fiber put it in position to become an ISP if it wants--more--a video/internet/telephone provider. Eventually, you'll find the one that sticks and make billions.

Which makes me think ... what will News Corp do if Google does "move up"?Triethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14701248527929189357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10075364.post-2598379545702555932007-04-01T17:52:00.000-06:002007-04-01T17:52:00.000-06:00At first I thought this might explain Google's rec...At first I thought this might explain Google's recent purchases of mobile dark fiber. Afterall, they would need the fiber to support all the bandwidth for the high speed internet connection they are offering. But then I looked at the date!

Karl,
T1 Survey dedicated internet access lineAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
